The Queen, The Pope and the Prince

It's been a strange month. Aquarius 2013 saw strange things in the sky and some abdications here on earth.

Prince Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands will become king on April 30th - the photo here by Carina Dumasm suggests he will follow his mother's line. But will he?

This month's Ezine:

  • The Pope
  • Queen Beatrix
  • Vocation - are you following your true calling?

  1. The Pope is the King/Emperor/Royal Father archetype, and Pope Benedict is the last survivor to carry this archetypal form in the Western world. Since there is no such thing as a secular King, Willem Alexander will be a figurehead (from an archetypal perspective) like the rest of Europe's royalty. For this reason you will notice he will not place the crown on his head during his inauguration. It will, however, remain in front of him.
Sacral kingship requires one to be God's representative on earth, which is the reason the Pope has been considered infallible. Also, “King” and “sacrifice” go hand in hand. When the King dies, his body and blood are supposed to nourish the earth for renewal. Benedict remains alive and therefore his abdication is much more significant than most people realize. He has put an end to sacral kingship! The next pope will be a secular figurehead and not an archetypal King. I can elaborate further if people are interested.
